CIPD INTERMEDIATE LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS (LEVEL 5)

Certificate/Diploma in Human Resource Management

The CIPD qualifications at Intermediate Level offer the perfect platform to further develop your HR, L&D or other specialist knowledge after studying a CIPD Foundation Level qualification. Alternatively if you are working in HR but have no professionally recognised HR qualifications you might choose to study these Intermediate qualifications.

These qualifications are for those who:

  • Seek to develop a career in HR management and development
  • Are working in the field of HR management and development and need to extend their knowledge and skills
  • Have responsibility for implementing HR policies and strategies
  • Need to understand the role of HR in the wider organisational and environmental context

Intermediate Award in HR (3 – 12 credits)

Intermediate Certificate in Human Resource Management (32 credits)

There are various combinations of modules. The example given here is for the Intermediate Diploma in Human Resource Management:

ASSESSMENT:

Assessment is through producing evidence from the workplace to show competence, writing statements to explain the evidence and completing a professional discussion with the tutor about the evidence presented.

TUTORIALS:

These take place in the workplace on a one to one basis. If requested tutorials can be at our offices or in a hotel. Tutorials can also be offered using SKYPE. A typical pattern would be a monthly tutorial lasting about 1.5 hours.

CIPD MEMBERSHIP:

The Intermediate Certificate and Diploma give associate membership.

Certificate = £4000 + VAT

Diploma = £4500 + VAT

RULES OF COMBINATION FOR CIPD AWARDED QUALIFICATIONS:

Level 5 Intermediate Certificate in Learning and Development (QCF) = 30 credits

  • Take all core units to a total of 18 credits
  • Choose 2 optional units to a total of 12 credits

Level 5 Diploma in Learning and Development (QCF) = 42 credits

  • Take all core units to a total of 18 credits
  • Take 4 optional units to a total of 24 credits
